Tasman Bay Estates is one of the most exciting and innovative developments the Nelson Tasman region has seen. The comprehensive and meticulous planning process has resulted in a vision for this village that is sensitive to its surrounds, is the catalyst for significant restoration of waterways and the land and offers a superb unrivalled lifestyle for its residents.

The development sits between Tasman Village and Ruby Bay. The Tasman Village boats excellent local award winning cafes and the area is rich with roadside fruit stalls, produce and community activities. You are a short walk from fantastic local primary schools and on the main bus route for the areas top secondary schools. It’s a 10-minute drive to Motueka, 20 minutes to Richmond and 30 minutes to Nelson.

Imagine being able to cycle or walk to the beach, play a round of golf, visit local cafes and eateries or simply just to enjoy the world-class Great Taste Cycle Trail which runs right through the development.

Tasman Bay Estates is more than just a development, it’s an unprecedented new lifestyle hub making a positive contribution to the area.

We've partnered with well known & award winning architects, Arthouse Architects, to develop turnkey high quality House & Land Packages with strong eco credentials. As a region with over 2,500 sunshine hours, PV battery powered technology also offers the "off the grid" option for those wanting to reduce their footprint.

The developers fell in love with the area over a decade ago and now live on site with their family. They are proud of the work that has gone into making this visionary development a reality “we truly are creating a new village based on the principles of sustainable restoration, spaciousness and a lifestyle that centres around access to some of the most magical spots in this area”.

The first stage of the development is the Coastal Cluster, a seaside settlement offering breathtaking views of the Tasman Bay and mountain ranges. A walk through the Coastal Cluster is guaranteed to make anyone marvel as you imagine the unrivalled lifestyle this development offers.

70 percent of the development area is set aside for open space or productive land, extensive planning has been undertaken to ensure the entire development is designed in a way that is both sensitive and complimentary to its surrounds. Sections like this are hard to come by in the region and sales interest has been consistently high.

They say Nelson Tasman shines and they mean it literally as much as figuratively. The region is well known for its record-breaking sunshine hours but there is so much more to the lifestyle here than the climate.

Few, if any, other regions can boast such a rich diversity of nature and environmental features including three national parks. The geographical centre of New Zealand truly does have it all with a network of over 300 working artists and galleries and a reputation for producing the finest seafood and fresh produce in New Zealand.

Tasman Bay Estates is nestled in between the Kina Peninsula and Ruby Bay, the whole development stretches across 178 hectares of coastal farmland off Aporo Road. This places you right at the centre of the best assets the region has to offer including quick access to Nelson city.

The Abel Tasman National Park, a half hour drive from the development, is New Zealand’s smallest yet most iconic national park. But the truth is anywhere you look, drive or cycle to in this region is nothing short of extraordinary. Incredible mountain networks for hiking, world class mountain biking trails, salt and fresh water fishing, golden beaches, golf courses and so much more.

With its stunning wharf precinct featuring bars, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and shops.

With its boutique local shopping offerings, popular eateries and all your usual convenience and service utilities.

A fast-paced metropolis with everything you need in terms of convenience; big brand retailers, supermarkets, free parking and gourmet food shops.

A popular city with a strong arts and music scene as well as one of the countries busiest regional airports offering short flights to all airports around New Zealand.

Design Ideas

At the heart of everything we do at Tasman Bay Estates is a desire to embrace the natural beauty of the surroundings and make the most of the stunning sea and mountain views.

We’ve partnered with renowned and award-winning Nelson architects Arthouse to provide a range of design ideas, however, you are free to use any builder, draftsman or architect of your choosing. The aim of these concept plans is simply to provide inspiration by showing what is achievable in our amazing development.
We encourage diverse and innovative design which complements the natural environment and as such the covenants allow for the use of a wide range of materials and place only sensible limitations on what is achievable.
